Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

I received a letter from a person who presented himself as the personal attorney for a woman with my last name who had died leaving an estate of $7,500,00.00 He reported that all previous efforts to find next of kin/beneficiary had failed. He asked me if I would agree to his presenting me to the bank as next of kin/beneficiary. If I agreed, he would provide all the documentation required by the bank. He said that 20% of the estate would go to charity. The remaining 80% would be split by him and me equally. He requested that I provide full contact information. He provided a phone, fax and email to contact him. He cautioned me against using mail or post for "security reasons." The address on the letter head did not match the return address on the envelope.
