Type of a scam Charity
I received a text from this number with the name of a teenager from my church. This person is requesting for support for a school fundraiser called "Step it up". There is a picture of a kid with a backpack on a bicycle which resembles what this teenager probably looked like as a child, however, the parents of the teenager said that this isn’t their child. I have received 4 text messages requesting for support. I did not open the link that is in the text. Additionally, this child would not ask me for money and certainly would not end her text with "love".
