I got a voicemail from a guy stating he was Investigator Alex Price with the State Locations Division. He wanted me to contact him at his office or the Arbitrator that was requesting a statement in reference to case number 195-3005 no later than the business day today. The phone number for the Arbitrator to call was 855-867-8977.They said I owed Fifth Third Bank $594.23 from back in April, 2009. They said Fifth Third was willing to settle for $475.38 if I paid today. Otherwise, I would have a civil suit and judgement filed against me. If I paid then within 48 hours I would get a letter of dissolution stating I owed a zero balance. They had my maiden name and I did provide them with my married name. I also questioned if this was a scam and I wanted them to email me with the details of the case. They asked for my email, which I provided, and said it would be very brief and only on their company’s letterhead and details of the dept. They couldn’t provide me with any legal papers.
