Type of a scam Government Agency Imposter
I have been receiving phone calls monthly since 2019. The person is a male and identify himself as a representative of the state department of health and human services. I asked for credentials and he provided the actual telephone number of the institution. I verified the number and asked the institution if they have this practice of asking personal information and they denied it.
The scammer sounds like a young individual, English speaker with a particular accent I could think of someone from India.
He uses to ask for my primary care physician name, at which state I live and what is my address. He also asked for the name and address of the clinic. When I rejected to provide my personal info they simply hanged out. This phone calls keep coming. They seem to have my state location already.
