I received the following email on February 22, 2019: "Samsung will like to put a small sticker on your CAR /BIKE OR TRUCK and pay’s you $500 weekly. click on this to apply https://browse0001.wixsite.com/mysite"

I clicked on it for information, then received this email on February 23, 2019: "Hello,

We are pleased to inform you that you meet our laid out plans for this advertisement as your information has been received. Below are some questions you need to answer before we can proceed.

How long do you intend to carry the advert on your car for 1 month or 3 months?

Do you use your car every day?

Samsung Electronics will take full responsibility for placing and remove decal on your car and it will not resort to any damage. Also, we have OUT-SOURCED the payment of funds to you to another Agency, so please do not be alarmed by the payment not coming directly from Samsung Electronics. Your upfront payment would be made after you have sent a reply with an answer to the questions above and a confirmation email saying we should go ahead and mail out funds and I will like you to send the pics of the vehicle.

Acknowledge receipt of this email immediately.

Kind Regards!

Then on the morning of February 26, 2019 I received a FedEx letter with a check for $2,600 drawn on United Federal Credit Union of Saint Joseph, Michigan, with a note telling me to "text the below information to 402-370-8146 for further instruction immediately you received the payment: Your full name, Check No., Amount on the check."

Wouldn’t the issuer of a check know my name, the check number and the amount? I called the bank which confirmed it is a fraudulent check.

Also, going to RipoffReport.com, I found this is happening with not only Samsung but also Target and other corporations. The lady at the bank told me to destroy the check. Thank you.
