Type of a scam Counterfeit Product
I bought a Green Bay Packers jersey on a store called Sportteamsapparel.com. It was during Black Friday and the price of the jersey was only slightly lower than other stores. 3 days later I received a shipping link from an address in New Jersey. However, a week went by and the link was there and no indication from FedEx that the article had been actually picked up. I contacted the store, which is only possible by email, and they kept saying it had been shipped and was underway.
I realized it was a scam because as they kept saying in was in transit I realized it was coming from another country. Upon checking my credit card, i realized I had been overcharged by $3 ($103 vs $99.99 invoice) and was billed by a company called Fushun – EC in Singapore.
I told them I knew there were a scam and requested cancellation, but they kept saying they couldn’t cancel as it had been shipped. I received the article, and though well made it is obviously a fake copy. Fabric, stripe detail on sleeves and stitching detail on front part are different from the genuine article. I have asked for a full refund and a shipping label to send back, and they are saying it’s too costly and complicated and that they will offer a 25% discount for me to keep it. Obviously there is no way I want a fake article.
I have already alerted mastercard and asked for a refund, but I will also contact Visa and alert them since they are using Visa’s logo in the fake merchandise.
