Total money lost $50

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

Complete scam. Individual from company called informing us that their records show that our toner is low, implying that they are the company that regularly services our printers. Sent us a toner and an invoice for $600. Customer service representative threw a hissy fit and hung up on us about 10 times in a row when we asked for a return label to return the toners. Refused to send a return label and said they are accruing late fees and are turning us over to collections. Had to spend about $50 to send toners back, refused to pay for the toners. This happened first in 2014 and again with a different employee in 2016.

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

This company will call the accountant and claim that they are sending the ink cartridges you ordered and to make sure you got the discounted price. When the invoice comes it has a "valid" UPS shipper number, a "valid" UPS tracking number and a "valid" signature from UPS that the cartridges were signed for. No cartridges come due to the fact that this company IS NOT REAL. When we called the company to confront them on this the answering service answers with the company name and the options like a normal business. You press the option for a person and a man comes on the phone. When you tell him the issue with never recieving the product all he says is "I have the signature from UPS that this was delivered". When you try to explain he hangs up on you. This scam needs to be put to an end.

This company has SCAM written all over it. I received a phone call from "*** in Customer service". He told me he was with Copier Source, our copy company, and that he would be filling our toner that was low. I was told that the next day I would get a confirmation call and to just say "PO is verbal and that I am authorized to order". I immediately called my copy supplier and told them what was the deal. I was told this was not their vendor and was a scam. I looked online and noticed others fell prey to the same scam from the jerks. When I called Spectrum about the fraudulent practice, I was told to just send the product back with the invoice and was not able to talk to management as I had asked. This company needs to be shut down.

Dear San Diego ScamPulse.com Representative:

One of our Mississippi Accredited Businesses; Atwood Chevrolet, received an invoice from a business in your service area requesting payment for a Brother Toner Cartridge. The invoice was shipped via UPS. The business is Spectrum Business Services, P. O. Box 838, Lake Forest, CA 92609.

Atwood Chevrolet did not order a toner cartridge and contacted the business to let them know there toner cartridges just came in and were only $29.95 each and they were not the chosen company used.

Business wanted you to use this complaint as information only. Ms. Price – Atwood business states she believes it is a scam and will not be paying the invoice.

She only wanted to report to BBB.

Received a phone call regarding confirmation of address for shipment of toner. Receptionist thought it was typical and confirmed the address and hung up. Then we received an invoice for 498.97 dollars worth of toner. Toner is contracted through our copier company and sent on an automatic basis. I contacted our copier company and asked about the invoice he told me to trash it and report it as toner scams are very frequent– we should never be dealing with another company regarding our toner.

Type of a scam Phishing

Called in to our business and misrepresented themselves as our copier service and supply provider (never mentioned their name) and informed a staff member that they had just been out to service a copier and needed to send us a toner cartridge. Our staff member gave them our shipping address and her name and a week later the toner showed up – with her name in the PO# field. They have continued to send us invoices and have instructions for us to return if we don’t want it and they will charge us a 20% restocking fee (no thanks). I have a recording of the call and will be sending it to the appropriate authorities to protect us should this company continue to harass us.

Type of a scam Counterfeit Product

Phoned to say he was going to send our the toner for our Toshiba copier because of a price increase. As we thought that he was from our Toshiba supplier as we get them sent out free from our company he stated the prices were going up and that we would continue with our regular contract. When I stated that we would NOT be paying a higher price he stated that they had plenty on hand for our machine in stock so the price increase would not affect us. He made it sound like he worked for Toshiba even asking how the photocopy machine was working. We received the toner and a few days later an invoice in the mail for $398.97. I was going to send the cartridge back. When I called and told them we were not paying for this, the person on the phone started screaming at me and telling me it wasn’t a scam if they give out the return address so easily, but he didn’t give me the address. I hung up. I called back the next day and got a return address to a UPS store in California.
