Type of a scam Tech Support
I have 2 different names for this company 1st is Solomon Support Solutions, 2nd is Qualtop Solutions. I received an online alert that I had a virus on my laptop and I needed to contact this tech support number otherwise my banking info was going to be released and threaten my laptop. I think they planted the virus and charged me to remove it. Once I realized this was a scam, the very next day I called my bank and froze the account and put a hold on that transaction. Currently on my checking account is on hold, and that fraud payment has been stopped. Because I had made the payment via an e-check, they have my account number & routing number, I’m going to close the current account & open a new. So I’m in the process of closing my account yet. As of yet I have not lost any money, I think I caught it in time. I do have the e-mail receipt from this company, not sure how to post it on here.
There is a questionable file left on my laptop’s decktop that is suspicious and I’m afraid to open it. Otherwise my laptop is usable and seems fine.
