A person claiming to be from Soft Tech Private Limited told my friend that she had unused credit through their company which was now out of business from a previous Microsoft support operation. This person "showed" my friend a screen online showing the credit of $200. He then said he transferred the money to her bank account but that he accidentally transferred $4,200 instead of $200. To fix this mistake he told my friend to buy $4,000 worth of Walmart gift cards and to give him the card number and pin from them.
We talked to the bank and they said no money was ever transferred into her account from this Soft Tech company. They just wanted the $4,000 in Walmart gift cards from her. The man in this scam harassed my friend with call after call and text after text. He was also very aggressive, often times raising his voice and yelling at my friend and myself when I got on the phone from him
