I am visiting my elderly father in Ohio. I noticed several missed calls from an "800" number on his phone. I answered two of the 800 calls. There was a robo type messenger advising that my dad’s ssn is going to be blocked and has been targeted. The robo caller then directed me to call 844 450 0515 to get it resolved. So I called the "844" number and got a live person with an accent who answered, "Thank you for calling Social Security, how may I help you?". I advised the person that I am concerned about the phone calls I am receiving. He then asked for my SSN. I told him I cannot do that and he disconnected the call. I called the 844 number back and asked to be removed from their list. He then advised me to change my phone number and disconnected again. I am reporting this number because I KNOW representatives will not ask for an SSN. Please help!

I received a phone call from the number 1-800-059-7068 and a recorded message, that sounded official, stated that due to suspicious activities that included the use of my social security number all benefits would be suspended unless I spoke to a representative by dialling 1. The message also stated that if no response was received to dispute the issue my social security number would be permanently blocked from use. I dialed 1 just to see if I could get more information about the scam, as I know that I don’t receive benefits and this had to be a scam. While on hold I noticed the next message said I was in the "quew". Then a man answered who had the voice of a twenty year old with a foreign mixed accent similar to British English/European but not quite Arabic. I confronted him about being a scammer and asked where he was calling from and he responded with gender specific sexual insults and proceeded to vugarly request sexual favors and asked how much I charged for such. They said I needed to go to the bank and draw out all my money from my bank. After I did that I needed to tell them it was done and they would give me the number to call to deposit that money into another account that was to be set up for me. Like a fool I followed their directions and flew from my work to the bank. I withdrew the money but the tellers told me to hang up. At this time I had the bank talk to the person on the phone. At that time it dawned on me that this was a pretty shady deal. I put the money back into my account and am in the process of contacting the credit card companies to put a hold on these accounts.

They left a message on my phone saying my social security number has been cancelled because of fraud. They have foreign sounding voices and said it was my final warning. I called back just to hear how they answered the phone and I could barely understand them. I hung up as I’m sure it’s a scam.

My dad got a phone call from a female telling him that the social security payments will be increasing and that she needed personal information. Being that he collects social security, he provided the female with his social security number, birth date, and who knows what else more personal information.

After not answering the unrecognized number, an automated voice message was left. The message said, "Hello, this is officer Alice Brown calling you from the headquarter of social security administration. Your social security number is suspended. Please kindly contact the emergency help line number which is 4436264297. Thank you and have GOOD day." They called 3 times in 20 minutes.

Received a call at my office phone from a man stating that the conversation was being recorded. He said that I had recently inquired about obtaining Social Security Disability benefits and asked if I could "hear him". I never called Social Security and I knew that this was a scam and hung up.
