Type of a scam Government Agency Imposter

I have been called by this social security office at least about 5-6 times. I had heard something about it while I was standing in line at the community market in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The first time I was called I was told that my SSN had been flagged due to it being tied in with money laundering and a car with a trunk full of cocaine was found associated with my SSN. I told them I knew that the call was BS and that if all that was true then the police knew where I lived and they could come get me.

The second time I was called I was told my SSN was tied to illegal dealings in Texas. I hung up and called the Seminole County Sheriff’s Department. I explained the situation and was immediately told it was a scam. I asked who I should speak to about it and was told to contact the ScamPulse.com and that the social security department wouldn’t contact someone in that manner. Now I just hang up on them.

Phone call claims I face legal action by Social Security Administration unless I return call to above number. Recorded voice delivering information sounds highly peculiar, perhaps elderly female tenor with shaky tone and odd grammar..

Caller had foreign accent. Stated they were from Social Security and identified fraudulent activity with my SS# in Texas. Asked to verify my SS# (which I mistakenly did). They verified my phone #. Went on to tell me FBI is investigating a car abandoned at Texas border with documents of mine in car. At this point I became suspicious as this sounded like a “big story”. I stated “how do I know you are really from SS Dept?” She didn’t say much-repeated my question I believe. I then asked for her address. Also hesitation. Took a min or so and she then started to give me some address when I said “this sounds like fraud”. I said “you probably looked up the address on the internet”. She then said “ you stupid little….”. I hung up!!!!

Unfortunately I gave them my social security #!!!! I did have identity theft of my SS# in July 2019 so I did put a freeze on all the credit bureau’s. I also called the SS Dept. I don’t know what else to do. ???
