These people have called me 9 times since 8:18 this morning. They leave an automated message stating that there have been numerous attempts to use my social security number and to call them back before they put a freeze on it.

Called back knowing it was a scam. These people are rude, vulgar and quite honestly dangerous. when you call back you only get greeted with " thank you for calling, this message may be recorded". So then you get someone from overseas and they give you a first name. I asked for their last name to verify that they did in fact work for the SS office and then they hung up. Received another call, called back, same thing. Received another call told them to put me on their do not call list, hang up. Received 2 more calls and got a guy who proceeded to give his name which is actually a porn star and then told me he wanted to "bang the *** out of me". I said excuse me and he repeated it but with more disgusting langue. After losing my mind on this guy he finally hung up on me. I called my local police department at this point. Received yet another call, this time I called back and said I’ve reported you to the cops and will now report you to the BBB. He told me to shut up 3 times. Again, I lost my mind.

This is obviously a dangerous scam. I spoke with a different person each time.

I received two call in two hours today. First call came from 800-867-4544 and second call from 800-533-8495. Both call had an IVR on saying that this is serious call related to my SSN account and my account has been canceled immediately for serious threat. In order to talk to someone the IVR asked me to press 1. I hung up the call both times and block these numbers immediately.

Received a phone call stating this was the Social Security Administration office stating my social security number has been compromised. When I asked ‘How do I know this is not a fraud’ they hung up the phone on me. I called the same number from a different phone and a different person answered but the conversation with this person did not feel legitimate. I again asked ‘How do I know this is not fraudulent?’ And was again disconnected.

I received a a call twice from 2 different numbers. The first was a voicemail with a robotic voice that my social security number had been compromised and they asked me to call back the number that they had also called me from, 5303858993. The second call came the same day within 5 hours and this call started as the same robotic voice but asked me to press 1 to speak with a live person. i chose to press 1. When a live person came on the line they had a very thick accent. They told me that me social security number had been compromised ans asked for my full name and the last 4 digits of my social security number. I made up a name and gave 4 random numbers. The guy told me that he sees my case and that my social security number had been used in El Paso, TX and had been linked to drug trafficking and money laundering. He asked me if I had a bank account with Bank of America, Wells Fargo or Chase. I told him no. He asked me if I was sure and I told him I was sure. He asked me had I shared my information with anyone and I told him not. He then provided me with my case number, DMC981080. He also gave me a match id 417527 and a warrant id 98692742. Afterwards he told me I was on the hook for $8,900 for something and then another $1000 that was linked to my account. He caught on that I was not believing him and hung up on me.

My grandmother is receiving robo calls claiming to be from the social security office, some Sergent. They say that if we don’t call the number, they will cut off her social security funds. When they call, you can tell it’s a phone bank and that people are giving them social security numbers. When you say the word scam, they hang up on you.
