I was a victim of a puppy scam on April 27, 2020. I was looking online for a puppy and came across socialgoldenretrievers.com, I contacted the breeder via email and we agreed and confirmed that I would pay $600 for the puppy that would come with delivery, up to date shots and medical records, registration and be microchipped.

I paid the breeder over GooglePay, like he requested, above is the screenshot of the completed transaction. The breeder told me that the puppy would be shipped the next day (tuesday the 28th) and that he would email me in the morning with the shipping information once he registered the puppy with the delivery agency. On tha Tuesday morning, I did get an email saying that puppy has been shipped. When I asked for the shipping info, I got a call from the supposed delivery agency (Skylinedeliveries.com. 406-404-2481) saying that I needed to pay for the appropriate crate to send the puppy in and then once I paid for the kennel, the shipping info and flight details would be released to me. The agency told me it would take 48 hours to process my payment, but if i paid the breeder and he paid the agency then shipping would continue as discussed. I then reached to the breeder who did not mention any kennel fees, and when he refused to talk to me on the phone, or directly answer my questions over email, knew that something was wrong. I tried to call the number on his website and it was not a working. I emailed him multiple times and I also have been requesting my refund on google pay, every time that he declined it, I request it again. I’ve tried to reach out multiple times politely asking for my money back and he blocked me and has not returned textmessages, voicemails, emails, or Google pay requests. After further investigation, I did confirm that site as a scam on petscams.com. I contacted googlepay support and filed a claim with them and they said that they couldn’t do anything because the transaction was completed and to ask him to do the right thing and refund me my money back. I’m looking to report this fraudulent website in hopes to recover my money paid and prevent this from happening to other people during this trying time. I appreciate your help and hope to hear from you soon.
