Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I posted an ad on Craigslist to sell some animals. Someone going by Alex contacted me via text asking to buy the animals and if I would hold them for a few days for an additional fee until his movers could pick them up. I said yes and when I started questioning if his movers had a horse trailer to move them he had no clue what that was. He also said he wanted to send me a much larger sum so I could write a check and pay the movers when they arrived. After several contacts from four different numbers, a check did arrive in the mail and was written from a company called Snorac LLC. I contacted the AP department at Snorac and they said that the check I had was nowhere in their system. The individual contacting me was on an LA number, the company address was in New York, the post mark was from Indianapolis and the mail label was from Corpus Christi Texas. When the guy called me I could barely understand him and he said he was in LA on business. The routing number and account number for Snorac even matched so beware.
