Type of a scam Government Agency Imposter
This person contacted me posing at the local police. It even appeared on my phone as Smyrna Police Department. They informed me that I had a failure to appear in court. They knew lots of lingo, codes, and sounded expertly professional. They instructed me that, due to COVID, I must remain on the phone with them and proceed to my financial institute to withdraw $5000 for my bond to clear my case. At first, it seemed they would instruct me to take this money to the Police Dept. Much later, it sounded like they were changing to have it wired. The names they used were actual policeman in my city.
