I had the same experience as the two people who posted complaints. I got a Bill of sale and a puppy health guarantee the day the puppy was “shipped” to me with a puppy nanny. I had asked for multiple pictures and even a video that was sent to me before the sale. I talked to a person on the phone several times and communicated via text & emails. Once the puppy was in transit, I received a call telling me the puppy was in distress and needed a special air conditioned crate which was another $750 but the money would be refunded to me once the puppy was delivered. I was concerned and went ahead and paid that fee. Then anothe ohine call told me that the delivery could not be completed until I paid a fee because the county they were traveling from required an inter-commerce fee or something to that effect. That’s when I knew I had been scammed. Thankfully, m back refused the $750 payment so I didn’t loose even more money. I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Then I noticed the scammers had changed their website name to SmithFamilyChihuahuas.com. I updated my complaint at that time with the FTC.
One year ago I paid $1000 for Precious a white female chihuahua puppy. I got a bill of sale, which I still have. This amount was to include shipping. They called and said they needed another $200 for shipping. The air company called and said I needed to rent a special crate for $650. I balked at that. Never got my puppy. Paid $1200 to Smiths. Am on fixed income. Was broken hearted at no puppy. Took me 6 months to finally find a cheaper dog. LOST $1200!
