My phone rang and I answered There was a Sgt Peter Taylor on the line telling me My grandson had been talking on the phone and run a red light and hit a 61 year old woman and she was in critical condition. He said my grandson had one phone call and he choose to call me. When I talked to him he said he was my oldest grandson and I said Bo this doesn’t sound like you (he was crying and begging me to help him) and he said grandmother you don’t understand i am hurt my nose is broke and my lip is cut please help me. Of course he was crying. He made me assure him I would not call his mother. I am 82 years old and have heard about this scam. The way it was carried out I fell for it hook line and sinker. As a result I ended up wiring through My bank (Regions) 7,350.00.( what a fool I was) I wired the money to Joesph A Tinco 3442 Corsa Ave Apt IF, Bronx NY 10469 These people are very good at their scam. The money was for my grandson’s bail. The hearing was to be in 2 hrs or his bail would be 82,000.00 It had scam all over it but all I could think about was what a predicament my grandson was in.
