Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Mystery shopper. Deposit 1900.00 cashiers check and immediately send copy of deposit to email address. Supposedly then they make the funds available within 24 hours. They then say to take 300.00 for salary once available and use the other funds to purchase items at Walmart. They stress to deposit this immediately and then let them know immediately with copy of deposit slip.

I received a check and a letter. The check was in the amount of 2,850 dollars. The letter stated that I keep $300 as an agreed salary. The letter explained to deposit the check and all of this has to be done in 72 hours. I would have to text assignment received, funds deposited, and funds available to use. Then it has an outline of explanations of the job but the ending paragraph stated the importance of depositing the check and text message the number only or email. When I googled the name Robert Carter all I found was a doctor. Then the address from GA is a home on sale from Zillow. The nameAnn Gonsalves from the mail is no one. The address on the letter 6544 w meter ct morrow ha 30260 is a home ground from Zillow as well. I almost thought this job was legit but the letter and mail didn’t match up with my investigation. The phone number was also previously used this same scam but named differently.
