My sister got several Facebook Messenger texts from a cousin currently in a nursing home in another state (Utah.) The person said my sister was #137 on the list of people eligible for a cash reimbursement and he was #138. He said she was eligible to receive $30,000 from SEDA, State Economics Development Administration. It is supposed to be some kind of overpayment reimbursement program. She was instructed to text "David" at 657-201-7024 and follow the instructions so she could get her prize. My sister refused, then asked me to contact my cousin’s daughter to ask her to check into this matter. I forwarded my sister’s email as requested. I also decided to report this to the BBB since it involved someone using a Facebook Messenger account issued to someone in a nursing home. My sister is reluctant to get involved so I said I’d report it for her.
