I was surfing the web one night recently and my computer screen started flashing with all kinds of warnings , including alarm sounds ! As I read a little further I was warned not to shut my computer down or I would would loose all of my stored information. Then I was directed to an 800 number I should call to fix the problem . I called the number and was told that my computer was infested with viruses and malware—for a small fee I was told they could take over my computer and clean it up and get back to normal _____DON’T BELIEVE I WAS EVER INFESTED AND WAS STILL CHARGED $ 500.00 USD AS THEY CALLED AMERICAN DOLLARS! I LEARNED THE HARD WAY —PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS . UNPLUG YOUR COMPUTER INSTEAD THEN CALL THE GEEK SQUAD AT BEST BUY. THEY WILL INSTALL WEBROOT —$20.00 DOLLARS FOR THE 1ST YEAR THEN $50.00 EVERY YEAR INSTEAD OF 4500.00 EVERY YEAR !!!!!
