Type of a scam Employment
Got contacted via text from a Vanessa from Careerbuilder about employment with Scaeffler group and that I would have interview over Hangouts or Skype with a Marc McGrath. The said I was hired and sent me a cashiers check via Fed Ex by the next day. Instructed me to deposit check valued at 4,800 dollars via ATM deposit- not through bank teller. I questioned validity of situation. I called the bank that appeared in check – RBFCU. They said check number and snouts were fraudulent. Told me to contact authorities and destroy check.
