Type of a scam Debt Collections
My father is receiving harassing phone calls from someone who says they are an attorney. Stating he is representing a "client" against my dad’s old company which has not been in business for over 40 years! My dad is retired and elderly and is worried over this bogus call. After researching I found out that this is debt collection agency that fishes through old bankruptcy/court documents and tries to drum up "collections" and creates phantom debt. Don’t be scammed!
