Type of a scam Employment

"Ryan Yates" will attempt to ‘hire’ you for a ‘remote personal assistant’ position and promise to pay you $300 a week for your services. He will contact you via email first and then quickly switch to text messaging. The whole scam here is to try and get you to buy expensive gift cards for him and send him the gift card codes. He will make an attempt to ‘pay’ you with an obviously fake cashier’s check and then try to get the money that way. It’s a pretty obvious scam tactic under the guise of a legitimate business. I received the initial email through my college email account from a school email so it looked like a legitimate job offer. I was able to do a bit of research and tell that it wasn’t legitimate but was pretty annoyed from the exchange. Ryan Yates has several profiles set up, including an obviously fake Facebook page.

Type of a scam Employment

I applied for a personal assistant job at Dean dental. Then a week later was approached via email a job offer to be a personal assistant. 300 weekly, paid every two weeks. Job was mainly from home. Job was a scam and I feel very foolish. I hope this helps others. Also was sent s check which I never cashed to purchase things for my employer, but the check was very sketchy. Further research and my gut feeling tells me something isn’t right. Plus I interrogated my employer and he stopped replying. Wasted my time, but glad I found out before I could get myself into trouble. Be careful people. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
