Type of a scam Debt Collections
They attempted to collect on a debt that had already been paid. I was told it was not the same debt but a different debt. At first they wouldn’t even tell me the creditor’s name and finally they sent me a settlement agreement in writing. I was told if I didn’t pay they would get a judgment and I could possibly go to jail.
