Total money lost $500

Type of a scam Online Purchase

My boyfriend went on to this web site to purchase a teacup Yorkie puppy. The gentleman, who went by the name “Paul Smith”, and has an Indian accent told him it would cost $500 and they would ship him the dog. They asked for payment, by wiring mone, which my boyfriend did at Walmart. After he sent money they ( meaning the shippers, who the gentleman said he used, told him he’d have to send another $850 “ refundable” for insurance. When he tried contacting “Paul Smith”, he would only text, not answer phone and he acted like he didn’t know what he was talking about. My boyfriend said he wanted to cancel transaction and wanted his money back and “Paul Smith” quit responding. I called him myself and acted like I was interested in the same dog as my boyfriend had bought ( which was still available on the website), and he said it would be $600. I asked if there were any hidden fees or if I’d have to pay for dog insurance prior to shipping and he assured me there was not. When I confronted him about my boyfriend he hung up and now has my phone number blocked. Would love for my boyfriend to get his money back, which we’ve pretty much written off, but if that’s the case would at least try to attempt to shut this guy down.

Type of a scam Online Purchase

I’ve been looking for teacup yorkshire terrier puppies to buy and ran across roseteacuphome.com, website. It looks professional and you can send a message on the website. The site asks for your name, phone number, email address and the puppy you are inquiring about. Just as soon as I finished completing the form I received a text message stating that a email has been sent and to read it. I use a computer all of the time and know of scammer types online and what to look for. This was a typical scammer. The puppies that normally go for more than $2000 was $500 or $600 dependent on male or female and offered free shipping anywhere in the USA and Canada. I led the person on and wanted as much information about his scam that I could get. I found his IP address, 74.125.31.27 (located in Amsterdam Netherlands) of his account email with paypal, [email protected] The IP address was blacklisted on 5 sites. So, I have reported the scam to the following; gmail, ftc, paypal and google. It is such as shame that this happens to individuals looking for a pet online.
