Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I applied for a Mystery Shopper Job online and was contacted by the above person through text saying that I was approved and that I would be receiving my packet and instructions within 3 days. When I got the packet, there was a checj enclosed which was made out for the wrong amount according to the instruction sheet. I texted the number and informed them of him mistake and he sent me a corrected breakdown of fees to match the check amount. I was leary of this anyhow, so I called the bank that the check was drawn on, and they told me the check was fraudulent and to report it to the BBB.
