Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I listed some items for sale on the resale website/app Letgo.com. I had several items listed, one for $200. I was contacted by a man named Ronald who wanted to buy the item. He agreed the price. He then sent me 2 checks, one for $1750.00 and another for $1500.00.
he instructed me to take the checks to the bank and cash them, then take out my $200 for the items, then an additional $200 for me, and to send the rest back to him. I questioned this and he then said that not to worry, to cash the checks and he would send someone to pick up the items and and I should give the person he sends the cash. This is very suspicious! I called the ScamPulse.com to report this scam. I also contacted the website administrator to report this.
