Type of a scam Identity Theft

I received a text message from Rogers telling me that my phone number had been ported. I then proceeded to go to my local Rogers (because Rogers had removed all services off my phone) and I am in the process of getting my old phone number back. The scammers had already changed my email address password and I am now going though all my passwords and changing them. I am also changing all of my credit cards and banking information.

Type of a scam Phishing

Just received a text message from Rogers — when I click on the link it went to the E-transfer page. I stopped right there and call Rogers who told me it was a scam. I decided to call the number and the guy told me to click on the link and the money will be deposited in my account within 24hrs. I told him that he is a scammer and he starts calling me careful

This number calls tells you to push 1 to connect to a "MINISTRY OFFICER" then hangs up. I called the number back , and they called me by name , then asked for my info . They said it was Rogers and it was regarding my account { which I don’t have one } and refuse to answer any questions unless you give your info.

Type of a scam Debt Collections

I received a phone call on my cell phone at 1:15 p.m. here in Canada Fredericton New Brunswick the man had poor English and said that he was with Rogers Communication debt collections immediately I knew that this was false advertisement in a scam because I have never been with Rogers I also looked up the phone number online and seen that many people have encountered this before and some people are sending identification and money.

In the background I could hear many people working for whoever the big head dude is in charge of scanning these innocent civilians and senior citizens I had told him I was a lawyer and going to sue them he immediately got offended and hung up the phone. I also called Rogers personally and they have no such record I also provided them with the phone number as well and hoping that this number gets taken down
