Type of a scam Employment
Responded to an Admin Assistant job posting on Craigslist that said to pay $18-21/hr. Got a reply a few days later stating the details of the job and that the offer is $20/hr for a part-time, remote, highly flexible position. Email came from an Adeline Rocha. She said she’s currently in Peru, but juggling another full-time job so she would need a personal assistant and if she could offer me that position. She said she would cover all transpo mileages for all work-related errands. She then asked for name, address, cellphone number and alternate email so she can send a check. An error that I believed her and sent the details, but emailed her that I’d rather transact through Venmo or Zelle rather than check. Didn’t hear back from her anymore.
