Type of a scam Tax Collection
Got an automated robocall from the "IRS" 9/8/16 at 9:38 am ET stating that I was "hiding something" from the federal government in my taxes and that I needed to call them back to resolve the issue immediately.
H&R Block has done my taxes and I’m pretty sure they would have notified me about any problems.
Also I’m pretty sure the federal government wouldn’t resort to phone calls to reach people about tax problems, but send a letter instead.
The number they used to call and told me to call was 844-884-3759.
Now I’m not going to call them because I’m pretty sure it’s a scam, but I wanted to warn you and others about it.
