We decided to add a pug dog to the family. Decided to go with robin big babies. He said he dropped the dog off for transport. Then they needed a refundable deposit of 1150 dollars for the crate. I paid that. Then they wanted 1785 for insurance. I told them no I wanted my money back. Still no money so I’m going to the authorities with this matter. Also reported them to google for fraud.

I have been searching for a pug puppy to adopt for my children and me. I found one on this organization’s website: robinpugbabies.com. I reached out to them to adopt one of the puppies they listed for sale. I initially communicated with them over email, but gave them my cell phone # as part of our "transaction" and we started communicating via text. I even spoke to someone in person who claimed to be Robin Anderson in an attempt to determine that this wasn’t a scam. The "seller" asked me to pay $620 for the puppy. This was going to include the puppy herself plus the fee to ship her to my home. I had already paid $500 to another seller in what I believe is also another scam and wanted to be sure I was getting the puppy I was paying for this time. I offered to pay half the cost – $310 – until I received confirmation that the puppy was en route to my home. When that happened I’d send the other $310. Payment was made via Google Pay to two different email addresses. After I paid the first $310, I received an email and text from the "shipping company" – they’re scammers, too – to say my puppy was there waiting to be shipped but that I needed to pay $750 MORE for a climate-controlled crate for the puppy. That’s when I started to become even more suspicious. I told the "shipper" that I didn’t HAVE that money to pay and contacted the "seller." He agreed to split the cost with me and I emptied my savings account of the final $300 I had and sent it via Google Pay. The email address he gave me that time was the wrong one, though, and the payment was canceled. Google says they’ve refunded that amount but since it’s the weekend, I’m still waitig to see if it shows up in my account. At 9:14 PM CDT last night, I texted the "seller" to ask for a refund. I did not hear from him again until 12:05 PM CDT today after I said I was filing a police report. He said he was still trying to fix the problem of getting me my puppy. I told him I didn’t WANT him to fix it; I just wanted my money back. Their website says they offer a 30-day money back guarantee. I told him I wanted my money back again per that advertised offer and he responded "i said im still trying to fix this but you have to trust me." I told him I DIDN’T have to trust him and wanted my money back. Now. I also let him know I was reporting him to authorities. I haven’t heard anything more. This seller absolutely played on my emotions and vulnerability. I am a single mother of four and was just trying to get a puppy for my kids, especially one of my daughters. I told these things to the "seller" and he used them against me. When I started to try and back out he said things like "your doing it for your child please." And when I told him that I’m a Christian and don’t lie or go back on my word he said "me to im s Christian and im happy your one to." He kept saying things like he promised he wasn’t going to take my money, that I’d get my puppy, etc. I’m a highly-educated person (I have my Master’s degree) but I’ve never felt so stupid in my entire life. I used most of my stimulus money from the government in this transaction and it’s putting my kids and me in financial jeopardy.

My boyfriend and I were looking to add a member to our family and decided on a pug. We found this website through google search and Contacted the “owner”. We sent her an email and she replied right away with pictures and her “history” with the breed. She sounded honest and had a ton of information and pictures. After much deliberation and back and forth with a few other options we decided to go with Robin Pug Babies. We set up a delivery date and time. She asked for a deposit, which most puppy websites do, and we paid it. The delivery date came and robin contacted us and said it has to be pushed to the next day. We were ok with that because we had no other choice. The following day we contacted Robin and a courier service sent us a bill for the remaining balance. Which is odd because the courier service gets paid from the owner not the buyer. When we tried to contact “Robin” she was MIA. Has yet to respond to any emails, texts or calls.
I just hope no one else gets scammed like this. Karma will follow its course with this company.
