Type of a scam Debt Collections
My work was called and told that I needed to call 213-437-3318 back within 2 hours to stop a warrant from being issued. I was told that it was Roberts & Assoc. and that their client was WPG and that WPG was attempting to collect a credit card debit. I called back and spoke to Mark who then transferred me to Lisa. They had the last 4 of my social security # and my DOB. They seemed very nervous when I told them the statue of limitation for the state of Nevada. They wanted me to pay them today for the amount owed. When I told them I was not going to pay them, Lisa became irate and then hung up on me. I called 411 and there is no Roberts & Assoc listed for the phone number. Also Whitepages show this number linked to a high scam alert. If you google the number the top one shows several people since July 6th who have experienced the same thing as I did.
