Type of a scam Debt Collections
I was contacted by a man named Robert Morris. His phone number is 347– 344– 5309. He indicated that this was a law enforcement action by the US treasury department. That I had committed a federal criminal offense and that I owed the government $5450 in late charges and penalties for outstanding debt of my 2013 taxes. When I called back to investigate they also indicated that if I did not pay the amount indicated that someone will be coming to get me and handcuff me.
