Road Masters Construction

Marisa – Jun 24, 2020

They are now in Minnesota and did the exact thing to me. Pulled up and said they have 3 extra trucks of stone and could do it for $$$$ per square yard. Started at both ends of the driveway and before I knew it and before they were done I was than told that I was in the hole for over $25,000 and asked if they wanted me to have them finish. Now I have… After almost dropping dead, an unfinished driveway and a bill for $15,500 and no money to cover the check which they insisted funds be available within 3 days.

Type of a scam Home Improvement

A senior citizen friend of the family was working in his yard. A person by the name of *** *** asked if he could use some stone left over from a job. A small pile of stone was dumped and *** left the property. Less than 10 min later a crew of 5 people showed up with another dump truck, a roller and tar applicator. They started working on the driveway without approval. When my friend asked what they were doing, he was told we have a contract and doing this work. The did not quit working and completely tared and chipped the whole driveway. When finished in less that 1.5 hours, he was handed a bill for $20,000. After some negotiation the bill was then reduced to $14,000. Through intimidation, he felt that he needed to write this check to get them off the property. After doing so, Luke Smith went to the bank and tried to cash the check. The bank would not allow the check to be cashed because funds were not in the account.

Pennsylvania State Police were notified and agreed that the company *** *** *** was a scam.
