Rita’s Florist

Logan – Feb 20, 2021

Ordered from them once and they fulfilled the order. Tried to reorder and they sent email order was in and being delivered or processed then they canceled, twice. Hours later. One order they said was delivered and it wasn’t. They aren’t local and never respond to emails. Thankfully got a refund.

Mandy – Feb 10, 2021

Total scam. My order was not filled nor could I reach anyone through phone or email. Stay away from this site. I order on line and could not reach them again. Out $50.00

This company is a complete and utter scam. It’s dangerous because clearly has the ability to appear as though it is local to any location that you are in. I want to know how it is possible that this website remains up. I have seen hundreds if not thousands of reviews that show that it is a complete and utter scam. It’s not a florist company that does bad business – it’s a fake website. It’s probably two criminals in their basements just scamming people right, left and center. The fact that it is also comes up as one of the TOP SEARCHES for flower delivery in ANY LOCATION is incredibly worrying. These people are probably making thousands upon thousands of dollars PER DAY with this scam. How have they not been stopped?

ritasflorist.com charged my mother almost 100 CAD for funeral flowers. Receipt was sent right away. Cancellation notice the next day. The charge didn’t go through due to some technicality on the side of the credit card (luckily). At the fake rita’s florist nobody picks up the phone, or checks messages, & 1800 goes to voicemail. Scammers. IMPORTANT: if there is no physical address listed on ‘contact us’ don’t give your credit card information to the company. I also suggest you change your credit card number if you did give it to them. Scammers may try to charge you again in the future from other bogus stores (ie: you will see charges on your credit card in the future from: mikesShoes $200 etc). Their logo is pixelated (blurry, not clear, low quality) – no company would put up with a blurry logo of their company. They forgot to put in a favicon (the tiny little logo that goes on the very top of your browser (in a browser tab) when you visit their website. This is a half-assed attempt at making a website quickly. Rita’s florist is one of the most popular name for a florist world-wide. PLEASE specify the website address in your reviews.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.
I ordered flowers for 54 dollars total, and they charged my card 80 dollars and the flowers never came. There was no indication upon checkout that the order was in US dollars either.
I ordered them as a sympathy gift for my boyfriends parents and NOTHING. I am so frustrated and upset.
SCAM SCAM SCAM.

Canadians Beware!

This site looks local, when you fill out your information and all the settings default to Canadian (Province, Postal code).

The price you see is in USD and that is not shown ANYWHERE during the purchase or checkout process.

$64 final on the website = $96 on the visa.

I actually had a great experience ! I ordered flowers and a stuffed animal and they were delivered very fast the stuff animal was super cute and a good size! I send them to a friend whose daughter is sick, she loved them!

Kelsey – Oct 21, 2020

What was the website address of YOUR rita’s florist ? ritasflorist.com or another? This is a popular name for a florist.

Kurt – May 22, 2020

I ordered a floral arrangement for my sister who is a frontline worker and recovering from COVID-19. I wasn’t aware of the cancellation until I checked the order online. It’s so disappointing to trust someone with something so important as your time and money for a service for a sick love one and have it cancelled without any explanation.

Ronnie – May 21, 2020

I just ordered a $93 flower arrangement for my daughter in law who just list her dad. I thought it was a legit business in her town. I got a receipt for $134 then an email saying it’s been cancelled. But get this… I was charged TWICE for $134 on my cc and no refund to be seen. No way to contact by phone (get voicemail) and no response to multiple emails. I’m FURIOUS. I’m contacting my cc company to see if they can help, plus I’m reporting them to the police (not sure if they can help)

Tommy – May 12, 2020

I got taken for $64 ( 94 CDN) trying to send my grandma who lives out of province flowers.
I wish I saw this report before I ordered

Stephanie – Apr 28, 2020

Ordered floral bouquet for mother online for her birthday. I googled florists in the town she lived and the one we usually use and others in the area were closed dur to the pandemic. Rita’s Florist looked legit but I never realized it was an American company until after the order was placed. I added a mylar balloon and upgraded card. The flowers she received were pathetic. Never received the balloon or card with the order. I talked to the florist who delivered the flowers and they were no help and made one excuse after another as to why they delivered such an awful arrangement. They allow substitutions which is never told to the purchaser and do not answer emails. I usually check reviews but am mad at myself for not doing it this time. Don’t ever use them. There’s $99 I’ll never get back. Photos attached to show the difference in the two arrangements

Ordered flowers thinking I was contacting a local florist in Canada and it was this American company who proceeded to process my order right away and charge me almost double the price of what I expected on my credit card because they neglect to mention on the site this is in U.S. Funds as well as when I looked them up online a lot of complaints saying flowers never delivered! I am very, very upset!

Alexander – Apr 10, 2020

I googled florists near Linden, MI so I could order an arrangement for my sister who needed a little cheering up. Rita’s popped up and I thought it was a local florist. I ordered around 2:30 pm so it was supposed to be delivered the same day. Well, it’s the following day and still no flowers and I’ve emailed, and called several times and I haven’t received a reply. The phone number just goes to a voicemail. I spent $58 and got nothing. I did call my cc company and they said they will open a case. They are obviously scammers and I can’t believe I didn’t do my due diligence before ordering!

I did a google search for flower shops in Wentzville, Missouri and *** *** was one of the search results so I clicked the link and It looked like a florist website and it said same day service which is what I needed. I ordered a bouquet to be delivered to my sister for her birthday which was the day I ordered them. I ordered before 3pm so they were to be delivered same day. They were never delivered. Their phone number is a voicemail. I tried their online form for help and also replied to their confirmation email that said the order was delivered. I have received no response by any means. They just took my money and that was it.

On September 19, 2018 I ordered flowers on line from Rita’s Florist to be sent to my daughter in CO. The next day looked at my account and it said the order had been cancelled and I would be refunded my money. This has now been a month and no refund to my bank account. All I am looking for is my refund of $57.14.

Rita’s Florist aka Aster Flowers LLC aka Grimster Productions is/are a fraudulent company. They are not a florist. I’m not sure what they are, except thiefs. The phone number leads to an answering machine. They do not reply to emails. I wish I had read reviews prior to placing an order with them. I hope these people get caught and go to prison. Was charged $101.65. I’m praying paypal will get my money back.

I ordered a floral piece to be delivered to a family who just suffered the loss of their Dad. I placed the order on Sunday, August 12th requesting a delivery on Monday, August 13th. I was able to set up an account with the company to track the status of the order. I had no communication of receipt of the order or confirmation of the delivery. There was no delivery, there was a charge to my credit card. I called the company several times in the past two days along with sending three e-mails, I received no response. I am out of state of the recipient, as I Goggled Florists in the town I needed the delivery Rita’s Florist popped up first, the website appeared to be reasonable, therefore, I placed the order. My purchase was to have delivery in New York, I learn the company not located in the same town as the delivery was intended, although the Google Search found Rita’s Florist as a local company, it turns out it is based in California. Complete fraudulent with no integrity from this company – Rita’s Florist. My recommendation is to be careful when searching companies on line that you are purchasing from a local company to provide local services. I did not receive the services I paid for and am out the amount I paid of $62.00. Be cautious in using Rita’s Florist from Orange California!

The website is not a real florist!! Do Not USE. This is a fake website that does not do flowers, it is just a setup to take your money.

I placed and order, paid online and then tried to connect with them via phone to confirm they received the order. They did not answer the phone or the email through their contact page. I received only an email saying "my account had been set up" The order I placed was never delivered but my card was charged. Had to speak to my bank to try to get the money back and cancel my card so they would not continue to use it. I should have checked their reviews. Shame on me.
