Type of a scam Employment
I was offered and accepted a job offer on May 24, regarding a home-based position as Independent Quality Inspector with Risk Management Insurance. This company is based out of Huntsville, AL, and the HR Manager who hired me is Kira Waller. My only job purpose was to inspect packages to make sure the contents were in good condition, and send them back out through USPS or FedEx. I sent a total of 6 packages during my time employed with Kira, these last 7 weeks. She informed me in the offer letter when I accepted the position that I would be on probation for the first 30 days, and at the end of those 30 days I would be paid. I then received a follow-up email that I would expect my payment by the 12th of July, and it is now the 17th. I recieved no payment for the work that I’ve done. I sent two emails to Kira regarding no payment and she has not responded to any of my messages. I believe this is a scam. I thought I signed up for a perfect at-home job, that was easy and managable, but I was misled and very wrong.
