I have been searching for a job. Someone by the name of Joseph reached out to me and it was similar to one of the jobs i recently applied for. They had me fill out the application on their website and immediately said i was hired. Training started the next day (5/21/2020) and they sent me $1050 through zelle on my personal account and had me send it to my own cashapp account and convert it to bitcoin and send it back in the form of bitcoin. My trainer, Mark Owen, told me how to do this whole process. After this transaction, red flags were raising. I began to question mark on the process and he kept telling me that this is just how they train people. I told him I wasn’t comfortable using my personal accounts anymore and therefore he said i was unable to work. All communication was done through email and whatsapp. The application for the job asked for my full name, address, and phone number. Although they didn’t take my money, i am concerned that they are using this to get bitcoin or take money in the future. Attached is the original job description/ offer.
