I received a interview invitation via email, for a opening as a Logo Designer/Illustrator. The email addresses used by "
Mr.Pete Lowe" were [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] He claimed to be a hiring manager and to have a Bachelors from Emerson College as well as AS degrees from Something & Wales college in Providence, RI. After some basic and vaguely design related questions (what software are you best with, do you sketch your ideas), he "hired" me and said some check and hr documents would be emailed to me in the days that followed. It would be work from home, id be making $24.70/hr 20hrs-35hrs a week. I found no record to back up any of that, and emailed the actual Rightcolours agency who confirmed that this was an ongoing scam and that he would ask people to buy some strange and expensive software. I lost no money, just lost some time from my job search.
