A pop up box appeared on our laptop saying that our computer was infected. It prompted my husband to call a Microsoft number, which he did. He was told to call Rhombus Technologies and given a toll free number. He allowed them to take control of the computer in order to "fix" it. He was charged $99 for Malware protection for one year and $299 for the "repair". We have since learned it was a scam and have reported it to Visa and fraud.org
