Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
This scam came through a college website. After filling out basic information, you hear a response in about three weeks to look out for the check, survey, and instructions. The first red flag was the amount differed from what was stated in the email, then you are suppose to buy gift cards, scratch off the codes, and send a pic of the gift cards to the number provided along with keeping a fee for yourself. Target companies to get the gift cards from was Apple, Target, and Walmart.
