I signed the job offer, proceeded to send me a check for “equipment. but it never deposited, they will ask you to contact them through Telegram. the manager name was Jeffrey Spencer, 9199372805 that’s the phone number. be Aware, such a waste of time.

I responded to an add for a job doing data entry from home. The “hiring manager” for “Residential Healthcare Group” is impersonating David Curtis, who is really the CEO of said company. Job interview done on google hangouts and once I signed the job offer, proceeded to send me a check for “equipment”. I deposited said check and he asks me to buy gift cards. I called the real company to verify and they confirmed that it was a scam.
Thanks for this; they sent me a check for $3900 and have been contemplating continuing on but now I am not. It all feels so strange when I keep asking to speak with someone live, the other person in Google Hangouts just ignores me.
