Type of a scam Debt Collections
Very aggressive “debt collector” calls with your personal information (ss#, full first and last name, current and previous adress) and will ask you if that is your information. Once I told them that yes it is me they went on to tell me I have a $1400 debt with Wachovia/Wells Fargo and that they are done trying to contact me and that I needed to pay at least $600 over the phone or if I want to receive documentation I needed to pay the full amount $1400. I called Wells Fargo and they had no records of me ever having an account with them or any outstanding balance. These “debt collectors” from REGIONAL ACCOUNTS SERVICES are very aggressive and will threaten you to take you to court or contact your employer to collect the debt.
