Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
I received a fax from *** ***, which is said to be located in Dallas, TX. I checked the White Pages, the Texas Bank Association and BBB, but I couldn’t find any info on this company. The USPS shows *** *** at that address along with many other businesses, so it may be a large office complex or something similar. This fax offered me a loan of $159,636.58, which is odd because I have not made any loan applications recently. I feel this is a scam that may involve faxes to many other small businesses in NW Washington. Even though the fax listed a website, I did not access it for fear of potential viruses.
