A few other emails back and forth were exchanged, but when I received this last one I knew it was a scam.

Here is the last email:

During your first assignment you will be evaluating our clients service at neighborhood Reebok & CVS/Walmart store. This exercise is to determine operational compatibility between both business entity.

– Reebok is looking into complains in customer service delivery from and not limited to: reported lapses in services rendered by management and staff.

Customer’s complains were based on pointers which have been analyzed and prepared for evaluation below.

(i) Rude/Impolite treatment from customer service attendant

(ii) Slow services and delayed response time

(iii)Poor overall services

(iv) Unresponsive sales attendants

(v) Shopping Evaluation Summary {Would you love to visit our store again}

Carrying out your Testing Exercise:

You will be provided required funds to shop at local store provided while evaluating their customer service delivery, On receipt of funds for shopping, You are to visit provided Reebok location to shop our " 2016 Collection".

You are to select 2 item in accessories:

* Reebook Cross-FIT T-shirt

* Crossfit Speedway Short

* Reebok Cross-Fit U-FORM

* In the event whereby highlighted items are not available in the store, you are to make purchase in the specified categories above. Your evaluation begins from the moment you walk into the store, Select, Purchase and Try-on selected items.

* Items purchased at the store are yours to keep.

You are required to read and follow this instruction carefully and report promptly with results of your survey.

Your report would include:

I) Unqualified Staff

II) Slow services

III) Loss of Money

IV) Rude Attendants

V) Excess charge

VI) Late opening hours and closing before time

VII) Time of arrival at store location.

VIII) Time of departure.

IX) Un-indicated customer service lapses.

You have been Allocated and Mailed required funds to carry out your evaluation exercise via USPS mail which has been sent out and will deliver to you with tracking no.9405501699320099620427. Your envelope contains $1,950.00 check funds,you are expected to cash your check at any ATM Machine or your bank instantly otherwise, have it deposited 24 hours for the funds to clear at your Bank for records.

– CVS/Walmart Transaction Evaluation

DURING YOUR SURVEY YOU WILL GO TO PROVIDED STORE WITH CASH AND MAKE A WALMART/CVS MONEY GRAM TRANSFER TRANSACTION WHILE CONDUCTING YOUR SURVEY THE CVS/WALMART STORE TO COMPARE THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE REACTION TO THE REEBOK SERVICE AND THERE COMPATIBILITY OF OPENING PARTNERSHIP CO-OPERATION WITH THEM. WHEREBY CUSTOMER CAN PURCHASE ANY OF THE REEBOK PRODUCT OF THERE CHOICES AT ANY DESIRE STORES AND HAVE IT PICK UP AND ANY NEARBY STORE.

At the chosen stores you will be making a MONEY GRAM money transfer to the HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGING DIRECTOR. whom will confirm the transaction and send you further approval and other products for your second survey test and You are only allow to send cash START FROM $100 AND ABOVE during one transaction. You are to make transaction of the value presented in your expenditure breakdown.

As soon as this transfer transaction as been made you are to send the transfer information as part of your survey for acknowledgement.

The reason for the CVS/WALMART transfer of fund is for your second proper assignment which will be sent after your acknowledgement by the human resource managing director AND to compare the compatibility of partnership with this stores towards achieving an easy goal of purchase for our customers.

Please be careful as I honestly could not tell right away that this was a scam. I had applied to many companies to be a product tester so receiving this email was not out of the norm for me. But anytime large amounts such as this are involved it is too true to be true.
