The perfect boat for the perfect price was for sale On Craigslist. The email link went to " fake Nancy" boat owner. It took a week for " nancy" to reply and she told us the boat was now being consigned by redcargarage, and we could go there to complete the purchase. We were briefly suspicious but once we found the website, it looked fine. My husband followed all the online steps to complete the purchase that offered shipping to MD from Florida, with a 7 day money back guarantee. We were told our wire transfer from the bank would be held in escrow. Bottom line, nothing was delivered, we never could speak to anyone ever at redcargarage even after having received an invoice via email. I finally did a Google search for the supposed owner, called her and she told me her identity was being used for this scam and 4 other people had phoned her. She told me she filed a report with the F B I and asked me to do so as well.
