Was looking for a website that could provide online therapy/counseling for people that suffer from mental illness. Found the website "recover live.com" that promoted real, affordable counselors! I thought this was great, so I registered for an account. Before I was ever able to truly set up my account, I had to provide my credit card information and choose a weekly, monthly or annually billed subscription option. I opted for the 7-day free trial with a $35 recurring monthly fee. Thinking that I could easily cancel this trial before my trial period was up, I went ahead and provided my information. Today (1-9-19) I went to cancel my subscription before being charged on Thursday (1-10-19). I couldn’t find a link/button/hyperlink on their website to cancel this subscription, so I called the number on their "Contact Us" page (424-313-7823) which went straight to a busy signal when I called. I then went to their "Terms and Conditions" page where they describe how you can cancel your subscription by calling their customer support at (310) 393-8572. This number was for a company called RealEntertainment based in Santa Monica, CA. I couldn’t talk to a receptionist or anything, but I could leave a voicemail for the receptionist/company. The receptionist’s name was Jessica Wemblebrod or something of that nature. I left her a voicemail explaining my situation and how desperately I wanted to cancel my subscription. I also messaged recoverlive.com twice to explain how desperately I wanted to cancel my subscription. I am very frustrated and unsatisfied with the fact that scammers can take advantage of people that are truly looking for affordable counseling/therapy.
