Total money lost $1,600

Type of a scam Travel/Vacations

Caller said his name was Raymond and was calling to buy my bonus points. I was supposed to pay him 400 per week and he would pay me $800. He charged $1600 to my card at the end of January. I can’t afford to pay that and the card company won’t dispute it now. I’ve never received a thing from RCI, it was just a scam.

By answering a telephone intercept 5 question survey, you are offered a promotional price for a Carribean cruise on Grand Celebration Cruise lines. However, when you arrive in Florida you are sent by the welcome centre at the Ramada at 5100 N. State Road to Vacation Village at 357 Racquet Club Road to pick up your cruise vouchers and resort vouchers. This is when the scamming begins. Your trapped into a time share brief of over 4 hours in duration where they aggressively try to sell you a share. If that is not enough, they also try to sell you a vacation share when you get upset as a means of granting you VIP priveledges to board the cruise. Alternatively, you are further given yet another RCI timeshare brief and sales pitch by the resort in the Bahamas that lasts several hours.

Jessica called offering a vacation to Cancun ‘"new " Resort called Villa del Mar 5 days/4nights plus another 7 days /6 nights on a choice on a cruise line (Royal or Carnival with no additional charge) a value of $1,500.00 for $798.00. She then put on David who said she was a new intern and that he would be able to give me a better deal from $798.00 to $598.00 when I said that I could not as I was recuperating from back surgery and financially I was unable to do at the time, he immediately said I had 18 months to book and that he could do something better if I had a job with human services; Military, Police Officer, doctor, Nurse etc. I said my son in law is a Juvenile Detention Officer and he brought the price down to $400.00 if that would work for me. I stated that the other issue is that financially I am not able to do and would not be doing this over the phone if I could. He then said thank you for wasting my time you [censored] stupid b***…I said have a blessed day.

I apologize for the swear words.

Sincerely, *** ***
