I saw my friend post on Instagram that ray ban is doing a 1 day sale. All sunglasses are 24.99. The website looked legit and I got excited to purchase the sunglasses. However, when I received the paypal receipt, I noticed that I got scammed. It was not from ray ban. It was from a Chinese seller, which I assumes lives in China. Later, I looked up on the internet and confirmed that this scam has been circulating on the internet for a few years now. The website link changes often.

This site looks like a real Ray Ban website. When you pay, the payment doesn’t really work well and so you go to paypal to pay, and then the charge goes through but there’s no real product or response! And the payment isn’t Ray Ban it’s from [email protected] Then there’s no way to get your money back.

seen an advertisement from a Twitter account directed to me and others from someone I know on Twitter. Ray bans $19.99 on sale one day only. So I went to the website, put my address and card info in but the website said I needed to call a number before it would allow me to make a purchase. It’s covid 19 time so I was unable to get in contact with my bank. Im concerned I’ve put my info on a fake site.

As I attempted to take advantage of the sale on the Ray Ban website, as soon as it was time for me to enter my credit card information I was routed to this site to pay. I didn’t realize that I’d been re-routed until I waited for my email confirmation from Ray Ban. I never received a confirmation from Ray Ban! I received confirmation from Brilliant.com! On the official Ray Ban site it showed no order history. Once I realized I’d been scammed I immediately submitted a cancellation. I was emailed by someone by the name of Vanessa asking me to please change my mind!

I received a notification from a friend on facebook on Black Friday this year. Tagging me about Ray Ban sunglasses being $19.99 each.

So I found a Ray Ban website, not sure which one now, and order 5 pairs, one for each member of my family. I paid $103 on November 26th 2018. I still have not received any sunglasses or emails to verify my purchase.

I have tried logging into any sites, but they do not have me on file.

My nephew tagged me in a post with the url to a “Ray Ban” website. One day sale you could order Ray Bans for $19.99 each. I ordered four pairs, and when I went to pay, my card kept getting rejected, so I’d have to do it again. On the “order page” it looked like I had gotten charged four times, but when I looked at my bank statement, I had gotten charged two times. Seems like they liked my debit card more than a credit card… On my bank statement, it says my account was charged to Wix.com. I looked that up, and it’s a site to create websites, so that sealed the deal for me that I had gotten scammed.

I tried to buy RayBans on what was called a One Day Sale. It offered glasses for 90% off. I should have known better, but the website seemed legit and exactly the the actual RayBan website. I placed the order. After I placed it — and it wasn’t on a secure server — I began to get suspicious. I did some research and then contacted customer service to cancel. They emailed me back — in broken English — and told me that there bank charges 10% to make a refund (even though I asked to cancel the order in the 6 hour time frame listed on their website) and that it would take 20-30 business days to get the refund.

So, I don’t plan on seeing that refund, but I wanted to let people know that this is a scam.

I was not personally scammed, but this site says it Ray-Ban official website and it is not. Says that items are up to 95% (give or take) off. I went to the real Ray Ban site and it is not the same IP address. I believe this is a scan to get people’s money.

I received a facebook post from a friend that Ray-Ban is having a one day sale with up to 90% discounts on their products.

So I seized the great deal. Now, two days later, when I wanted to log in and check the status of my order – I was not able to do so.

Haven’t received anything yet, of course, and I doubt that I will.

A bit later I checked that this address is just one many that uses Ray-Ban name.

P. S. I’m not able to choose country that I’m actually from, so I chose it on random from list available.

Saw a sponsored ad on Facebook for Ray-Bans for 90% off at rbmell.com. Went to it and ordered 8 pairs at $19.99 each. Ended up being a fake ad. Can’t believe I fell for it. After getting email I checked online and found it was not a safe website, had no phone to contact them. When I did email them to cancel my order they said the restocking fee was 20% of the order. My credit card sent me a warning of fraud but when I called they said since I initiated the order it wasn’t fraud and to play it out and then dispute the charge once it cleared. I did and the credit card credited me the full amount. The site went away on Jan 2, 2018 and no emails that i have sent have been responded to. They did either sell my credit card into or try to use it afterwards but I had canceled the card and got a new one when I realized my stupidity. Other websites they use include ray-friday.com

A sponsored ad came up advertising 2017 Ray Ban sunglasses for 90% off on my Instagram stories. Clicking on it brought me to http://www.rb-plaza.com/ which is not the official Ray Ban website. They we’re selling glasses such as wayfarers for $24, seemed too good to be true so with a quick Google i found out that this is a regular scam and usually the website is only a month old and based in China.

My boss told me about a site to order ray ban sunglasses for 19.99. She saw it on facebook. The site looked genuine. I ordered 3 pair and then afterwards thought I should have checked the web site out like I always do but didn’t this time. I was excited to get them as gifts. The site came up as very possibly fraudulent. I got back on the site to cancel my order and it said you can cancel order within 6 hours but the only way to contact them was by email. I then became very nervous. I contacted my credit card company and the order had already been charged. I cancelled my charge card account. Went back to the site to delete my account and to cancel order. There is no way to delete my account. My gmail account put the email purchase note in spam. I reported it to them. I did send an email to cancel my account and changed my account information to my work info. Very upsetting.

On Instagram my daughter saw an online for Ray Ban sunglasses. The add looked incredibly authentic. They were offering glasses worth approx $350 for $25 they stated they were on ‘clearance’ getting rid of older styles.

My first cc declined (it is in good standing). Used another it went through.

I then rec’vd a phone call that number was known to be a scam out of bijing.

Please warn Instagram of this site, it has since been blocked on the computer.
