I listed my vehicle for sale on craigslist, a scammer texted me to my personal cell phone asking to provide a specific kind of vin report of the vehicle using the website rapidvincheck.com. He insisted on me paying for it even though i provided a report with carfax and vinaudit.com which are DMV approved to him. I asked him he can run his own vin report but insisted i so it. The scammer didn’t want to provide their email either. He stopped responding when I told him he is a scammer trying to get me to use a website to enter my credit card information.

We have a vehicle for sale and someone contacted us through text like they were interested but didn’t want to request work off to look at the vehicle until the RVC was complete and sent us a link to run a RVC. we went to a cheaper website but they demanded the report from the site they sent us. The potential “buyer” will not contact us back after running the report.
