Scam Phone Number 8332701357, Cindy (Supervisor), RAM LLC (Charleston, SC) on behalf of Laser Lending, Debt Collection or Court.
Received a voicemail from Johnny Walker stating they were trying to locate my whereabouts regarding a complaint filed against me. Next step was to notify local authorities. -1st clue, how to notify local authorities if they don’t know my whereabouts?
Called the number & was disconnected while on hold.
Called back & was told it was recorded for court purposes regarding a debt from 2013, loan from parent company Laser Lending & that payment was unable to be collected from my bank. Asked for written documentation & was hung up on.-2nd clue, calls are recorded for training or verification purposes, never heard of for court purposes.
Called back & reached Cindy, a supervisor, requested the last 2 of my SSN to verify, read my entire SSN back to me, said the client had been sending letters to my address at the time & calling my work # at the time, listed as primary #. Needed to make payment today & they would arrange a settlement for balance or I could go to court in my old state, pay 5 times amount due & court costs for both sides. I requested written documentation such as date of loan, subsidiary loan was from & signed loan documents. She said that information would have to come directly from the client & at that point they would provide it in court. -Final clues, my address is on file with the DMV & USPS. I have had the same cell # for over 20 years & always list that as the primary contact #
Worst part is they called my elderly parents & scared them.
